The Cairo and Luxor 2 Days Tour from Marsa Alam by flight is one of the most exciting itineraries in our portfolio — combining the two greatest ancient sites in all of Egypt into a single, seamlessly organized private adventure. On day one you stand before the Pyramids of Giza, and on day two you descend into royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings. This tour is perfect for travelers with limited time who refuse to compromise on the quality of their experience.
Day one begins at midnight with a pickup from your Marsa Alam hotel. You transfer to Hurghada Airport for your 5:00 AM EgyptAir flight to Cairo, arriving at 6:30 AM. Your private guide and driver are waiting as you exit arrivals. The Giza Plateau is your first destination — and arriving in the early morning, before the crowds build, is one of the real advantages of this tour’s logistics. You have ample time to explore all three pyramids, visit the Great Sphinx at close range, and explore the Valley Temple of Khafre with your guide before the day heats up. Lunch at a local restaurant follows, then an afternoon in the Egyptian Museum where the gold of Tutankhamun, the precision of ancient jewelry, and the sheer number of historical artifacts will leave you genuinely overwhelmed by the depth of Egyptian civilization. Optional: visit the Royal Mummies Hall ($40 per person) to see the preserved remains of Ramses II, Seti I, and other great pharaohs face to face. In the evening, you fly to Luxor and check into the prestigious Steigenberger Nile Palace Hotel — a beautifully appointed 5-star property right on the banks of the Nile.
Day two is devoted entirely to Luxor’s West Bank and East Bank highlights. An optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise ($85 per person) offers the most breathtaking start imaginable — watching the Nile Valley emerge from morning mist while drifting silently above temples and tombs. After landing and breakfast, your guide leads you through the Valley of the Kings (three tombs included) and the Temple of Hatshepsut. The Colossi of Memnon provide a final photographic moment before you visit the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex on the East Bank. After lunch, your private vehicle transfers you back to your Marsa Alam hotel, arriving by approximately 6:30 PM.
